The postmodernist lingo

Who has believed our report and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? ( Isaiah 53: 1.)

Postmodernists believe that there is no absolute truth. Really? Imagine having a conversation with someone and before you proceed they raise a placard that says ” I want you to know that there is no absolute truth “. Wow, that statement in itself is an absolute statement and accepting that theory lends support to the view that there are some absolute truths! 

In 1 Cor 13: 12 it is stated that now we know in part and we prophesy in part but when perfection comes, the imperfect shall pass away. Does this statement buttress what the postmodernists believe? No, it does not. If I meet you at a restaurant and I disclose to you my name, educational background and profession while I choose to keep every other information undisclosed, does it render what I have told you false? By no means.

In Isaiah 53:1, Isaiah tells us that the arm of the Lord is revealed to those who believe the report concerning the Lord Jesus Christ. And what is that report? The report is that Jesus was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, the punishment that brought us peace was upon him and by His stripes, we are healed. (Is a 53: 5)

There are many who have heard the message of salvation but have decided to harden their hearts because of the deceitfulness of sin.

A story is told of a man called Zaccheus in the Bible. He was a tax collector who had been written off by the society of his day for collecting more taxes than he should. The excess tax went to enrich himself. When he heard that Jesus was passing by, he climbed on a sycamore tree to see him. Jesus approached him and said, Zaccheus today i would dine with you at your house much to the anger and the dismay of on-lookers.  Zaccheus was overjoyed and the rest is history. (Luke 19: 1 – 10). Jesus stands at the doors of our hearts and knocks. And to whoever opens, he comes in and dines with the person. (Rev 3:20)

The knowledge of the Lordship of Jesus is revealed to our hearts and we confess it with our mouths. (Rom 10:10)
