Losing the Battle of my Privacy

Losing the Battle of my Privacy

Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. Psalms 139:7-8 NKJV

I LOVE my privacy, I like to have my space and to be alone with my thoughts. These are common needs and delights of an introvert and I am quite introverted. However, after becoming a mother, I realised that oftentimes I have had to sacrifice these needs and delights in the interest of my children.

Psalm 139 is a fascinating Psalm.

In it, the Psalmist David shares his thoughts on God’s omniscience (the fact that God is all-knowing) and God’s omnipresence (the fact that God is everywhere or that he sees everything).

If you are not living right, the thought of God’s omniscience and His omnipresence can fill you with fright. On the other hand if you are living right, the same thought would be comforting.

As far as our relationship with God is concerned, there’s nothing like a private moment. God is ever with us. If we choose to walk right with him, we would be comforted rather than frightened in knowing this. How would you have it?

This article comes handy. We live in a time where everyone is concerned about their privacy. It’s alright to be concerned with our privacy, but we must acknowledge that we cannot have privacy with God.

This article has done justice to that. It depends on us from now on to know that God is always there watching everything that we do, relying on the word”privacy” in our human terminologies.

This is a wake-up call to all of us who are so concerned about our privacy and use that for all kinds of irresponsible things because no one will find out. GOD IS ALWAYS WATCHING.

The truth that God is omniscient rather energises and encourages me to be open in prayer and inspires me to live right.
      God bless you for sharing.

There is alot we need to know and understand as a Christian. It’s not really bad to connect with our privacy but as a Christian we must remember that everything we do privately is being seen. There is nothing we do that our God cannot see, you may choose to steal or kill privately saying to yourself that nobody can see what you were doing, but bear in mind that God is watching and is aware of all that you do.

Nothing like the presence of God…soothes your sorrows, heals your wounds and drives away your fears, as the hymn put it.

As David also put it, better a day in your court than a thousand elsewhere.

May God help us to cultivate the Presence.

    Thanks Floodlight.
