The next level

The next level

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,  Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. Hebrews 6:1‭-‬2 KJV

Zig Ziglar said maintaining the right attitude is better than regaining the right attitude and this is applicable in our walk with God too. Surely we cannot overemphasize the need for confession. But we need to endeavour to walk steadfastly with him in true holiness and obedience.

We need to desire to continually walk before God in holiness and the Holy Spirit being our helper we can. The pure in heart shall see God. (Matt 5:8) They shall have an everyday experience of God. We need to live in the consciousness that our body is the temple of God. So as the Sunday school song says be careful little eyes what you see, be careful little feet where you go, be careful little hands what you do etc

We need to ask ourselves the hard questions and seek to know if God is pleased with our lives.  As a Christian is your financial life submitted to God, or have you decided to rewrite Scripture for your convenience? What about that office relationship ,or worse, relationship with your fellow co worker at church that has turned illicit? Worship is total surrender of our lives to God. Which is why Paul could say ” I am being poured out like a drink offering”‘ And again he reminds us in Rom 12:1 – 2

“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. Romans 12:1‭-‬2 MSG

God is calling us onto that plain. The plain of continual holiness for it is the pure in heart who would see God.

Shalom.
